My draft cross mare is extremely sweet natured, but whenever I’d do up her girth she would turn and nip. She was borrowing my gelding’s prolite girth which he loved, but it wasn’t working for her. I kept seeing reviews of other girthy mare owners praising the Correct Connect girth, so I tried it and got the biggest size (because round draft cross).

First try didn’t go great honestly. I felt like I had to really tighten it the first time. And when I went to dismount the whole saddle somehow went sideways and I fell on my bum. But I didn’t give up. We have and love the breastplate so I trust the company. We got the leather liners and haven’t looked back! It made the girth fit a little longer than with the fleece and it had more grip. We’re happily working and no nipping during tack up!

Very nice quality and my horse liked it - I ended up having to return because the buckle Velcro covers hit exactly where my stirrups fall and I un-Velcro’ed periodically throughout my rides. Probably only a problem for those of us who are very short on tall horses but it was a deal-breaker for me.

This girth has been super helpful with my horse who is recovering from ulcers but the keepers for the billits are a bit low and a bit hard to reach when you are mounted.
Not a huge fan of the Velcro either.

Not only does the fit help with my constantly growing 4 year old, but the quality is amazing. Often with buying tack onling, the product falls short of expectations. Not this girth. It's a very high quality item
